Mohamed graduated in 2000, obtaining a Bachelor Degree of Dental Science (BDS) Honours degree from Ain Shams University (Cairo, Egypt). He was selected to study a Master of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and work in the university as an assistant lecturer. The MSc (oral and Maxillofacial surgery) was granted after his thesis defence in 2010 from Al-Azhar University (Cairo, Egypt). He undertook advanced training in oral implantology, bone grafting and reconstructive dentoalveolar surgery. Mohamed is registered as an Oral and Maxillofacial specialist in Egypt. He has been working in the private practice as a general dentist in Australia since 2008 and established his own dental practice in Canberra in 2011.
Dr. Mohamed Elfar was granted the Membership of the Royal Australian College Dental Surgeon (MRACDS) in 2013 after completing 2 years of further study.
In the year 2015, he was granted Fellowship in the International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics.
Mohamed was granted the ICOI Fellowship and ASID fellowship in 2019.
Mohamed’s dentistry skills are constantly expanding, with his most recent achievement completing 2 years of study and practicing orthodontics for the past 9 years. He has successfully completed his Graduate Diploma of Orthodontics in 2020 with a distinction from James Cook University.

Dr. Mustafa Mahar holds a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and a Master of Dentistry from Griffith University in Queensland. During his studies, he was recognised with three academic excellence awards and received the Dean’s Commendation upon graduation.
Dr. Mustafa gained valuable experience working in private practice across Queensland before relocating to Canberra, where he joined the Elfar Dental team. Patients value his gentle chairside manner and the time he takes to ensure they feel confident and well-informed about their treatment options.
He is passionate about delivering preventative, evidence-based dental care and is committed to continuing education through his active membership with the Australian Dental Association (ADA). His clinical interests include crown and bridge work, root canal therapy, and children’s dentistry — his Master’s research focused on using interactive visual aids to support mildly apprehensive children during treatment.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mustafa is a keen sports enthusiast. He enjoys cricket, soccer, and once captained Griffith University’s table tennis team at the Australian University Games. He also enjoys spending quality time with family and discovering new places to eat around Canberra.

Tristan is known for his calm and gentle approach, helping patients feel at ease throughout their visit.
